Greg Houser

Greg earned a BA in Business Administration from the University of Oregon (1970) and an MBA in Finance from the University of California at Los Angeles (1971). Greg is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and member of the Portland Society of Financial Analysts. His community activities include service as Chairman of the University of Oregon Business Advisory Council; Director Emeritus of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation; Director of Another View Foundation; and recent fundraising campaigns with The Children's Museum and Loaves and Fishes. Greg has been married to his wife, Lesley for thirty-two years and has three sons and one daughter.

Lantz Stringham, CFA

Lantz Stringham

Lantz joined Chinook in 2002 from RedChip Review, where he was a Senior Equity Analyst concentrating on small- and micro-cap equity research. Prior to working at RedChip, Lantz spent five years as an investment analyst at American Express Financial Advisors. as well as general partner and manager of the Olympus Mountain Emerging Equity Fund, L.P., a small-cap equity hedge fund. Lantz has fifteen years of investment management experience; graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Finance; and obtained his CFA designation in 2000. Lantz has made his home in Portland since 1999 where he lives with his wife, Nena, and daughter, Sadie.

Grant Brown, CFA

Grant Brown

Grant joined Chinook from Ascend Capital, a $1.1bn hedge fund headquartered in San Francisco, where he covered the Technology and Healthcare sectors from 2000 to 2004. Prior to working at Ascend, Grant was an Analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) within the Mergers and Acquisitions Group, where his advisory assignments included Terra Networks' acquisition of Lycos ($12.5 billion), Alcatel's acquisition of Newbridge Networks ($7.1 billion), and NetIQ's acquisition of Mission Critical Software ($2.7 billion). Grant is originally from Lake Oswego, Oregon and attended Stanford University where he earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. Grant, returned to Portland in 2004 where he lives with his wife, Taylor, and daughter, Ellie.
